About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technically competent Loss Control Services in accordance with company policies
- Manage a state-wide territory in Connecticut
- Originates and manages all service account activities
- Conducts surveys and services commercial risks for workers' compensation coverage
- Conducts loss control services and training for customers
- Participates in team activities to help retain accounts
- Maintains specialized knowledge of company manuals, procedures, and relevant codes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 13+ years of loss control experience working for a major writer of workers' compensation insurance
- Strong workers' compensation knowledge
- Ability to conduct training programs and classes for clients
- Basic knowledge of underwriting and product management skills
- Broad knowledge of commercial lines of insurance coverage
- Familiarity with engineering principles and safety standards
- Strong consideration for industry designations (ARM, CPCU, etc.)
- Extensive use of computers and software programs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Progress toward a professional designation preferred (CSP, ARM, etc.)
