About the role
- Own and elevate the onboarding experience from pre-boarding through orientation
- Guide employees through smooth and thoughtful offboarding experiences and automate processes
- Continuously improve workflows across People systems (Rippling and 15Five) and automate recurring processes like reviews, surveys, and reporting
- Assist in drafting and refreshing company policies and turning them into clear, easy-to-use resources
- Support employees through leave of absence process by coordinating with Sparrow
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline systems and automate manual processes
- Uphold compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including training, policy acknowledgements, recordkeeping, reporting, and audits
- Maintain clean, reliable employee data by running audits in Rippling and designing automated reporting
- Be the first point of contact for employee questions on People programs, benefits, and payroll while building self-service resources
- Enhance the in-office employee experience in San Francisco by keeping the space inviting, stocked, and introducing vendors or tools
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant People/HR experience, ideally from a high-growth environment
- Passionate about the employee experience and improving engagement
- Automation-first mindset and experience improving workflows
- Experience with HR/People systems (Rippling, 15Five) and working with leave vendors (Sparrow)
- Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline People processes
- Strong ownership, initiative, and ability to thrive in ambiguity
- Highly detail-oriented with ability to move with urgency
- Strong communicator who builds trust with employees, managers, and executives
- Background in scaling People practices through Series A/B growth stages (bonus)
- Experience supporting employees across multiple geographies (bonus)
- Hands-on experience shaping in-office culture and planning company-wide events (bonus)
- Willingness/ability to be in the San Francisco office at least once per week
