About the role
- Lead all legal & compliance efforts for the Wealth Management product
- Secure and maintain regulatory licenses, including a U.S. investment advisor license
- Ensure adherence to SEC audits and coordinate with external consultants
- Oversee compliance for Wealth Management operations in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia
- Explore feasibility of obtaining local licenses and partnerships to strengthen legal framework
- Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and financial services law
- Design and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Conduct regulatory analysis and collaborate with Product to integrate requirements
- Manage regulatory reporting obligations and serve as primary liaison with regulators
- Draft and review agreements including entity contracts, user agreements, and provider partnerships
- Translate legal requirements into practical strategies that enhance product and user experience
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Support, Product, and Finance
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal role
- Excellent verbal/written communication, business fluent in Spanish and English
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Skill in translating legal advice into actionable product strategies
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams across multiple business functions
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail

- [Nice-to-Have] Experience working within the fintech or financial services industry
