About the role
- Own and manage day-to-day accounting for both companies. Maintain accurate general ledger and chart of accounts. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements. Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Process employee reimbursements and vendor payments. Prepare monthly financial reports for the leadership team. Assist with budgeting and expense tracking. Support cash flow monitoring and forecasts. Maintain organized documentation of financial records. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax filings (including state, federal, and franchise taxes). Maintain compliance with IRS and state-level reporting requirements. Liaise with external CPA or legal advisors as needed for audits or filings. Track and renew necessary business registrations and licenses. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and internal controls. Help integrate and optimize tools such as QuickBooks, ADP, or Connecteam (if applicable). Support implementation of any future finance-related tools or tech.
Requirements
- Highly organized and proactive Accountant with strong U.S. accounting experience who thrives working independently, communicates clearly, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial work. Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, or Connecteam (if applicable). Ability to liaise with external CPA or legal advisors as needed for audits or filings. Knowledge of IRS and state-level reporting requirements. Ability to manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements. Experience preparing monthly financial reports, budgeting, expense tracking, cash flow monitoring and forecasts. Experience processing employee reimbursements and vendor payments.
