Principal ASIC Design Engineer

Project Manager

• Lead end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing for high-value ASIC materials and components, including silicon wafers, specialized semiconductor inputs, advanced packaging, and specialized semiconductor inputs, driving total cost of ownership optimization across a large-scale commercial program
• Negotiate and manage long-term agreements (LTAs) and Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contracts with global foundries, OSAT partners, and component vendors to secure supply continuity and cost-effective partnerships

Systems Engineer

• Contribute to or lead New Glenn Avionics architecture trade studies, concept development, verification planning, vehicle integration, and operations support
• Analyze, manage, and interpret requirements at the New Glenn Avionics subsystem level and flow down requirements to lower-level component specifications
• Generate verification and validation plans, and work with integration and test teams to ensure the New Glenn Avionics subsystem meets requirements
• Develop and manage power/network architecture, integrating multiple Avionics subsystems while ensuring deterministic performance and budget compliance
• Develop and manage New Glenn Avionics fault tree analyses and other reliability/safety analyses across the system lifecycle

• Design, analyze, build, and test turbomachinery components, with a primary focus on cryogenic pumps for lunar and rocket fluid systems.
• Own the mechanical definition of cryogenic and space-rated pumps, including 3D models, detailed drawings, design updates, and resolution of design discrepancies.
• Coordinate fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning of new or modified pump systems at Blue Origin sites, working closely with manufacturing and test teams.
• Create and manage fabrication and installation drawings in ProE/Creo with Windchill, applying company and industry standards for design, drafting, and configuration control.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) to ensure designs are producible, maintainable, and scalable from prototype through higher-rate builds.
• Guide hardware through the full product life cycle—from requirements and preliminary design through detailed design, build, test, verification, integration, and flight.
• Collaborate across disciplines and clearly communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a highly collaborative, inclusive environment.

Mechanical Design Engineer III

• Responsible for the mechanical aspects of the battery design, development, qualification, and hardware production.
• Develop and maintain a full system design and its associated documentation (CAD, drawings, ICDs, BOMs, etc.)
• Develop mechanical components for the battery system, including modules, pack assemblies, interconnects, electrical components, structural components, and enclosures from concept, through qualification, and into production.
• Use structural and thermal analyses, as well as Thermal Runaway (TR) Passive Propagation Resistance (PPR) testing, to inform battery design decisions.
• Develop production processes for module build, through pack assembly, and end of line acceptance testing.

Avionics Motor Control Design Engineer III – Lunar Permanence

• Work with customers as a technical advocate for one or more payloads through the full payload lifecycle (execution of contract through payload integration and launch)
• Serve as the primary technical interface between Blue Origin and payload customers
• Coordinate payload requirements, integration schedules, and technical documentation
• Support the development of technical proposal content, including payload accommodation concepts, interface definitions, and mass/volume/power assessments in response to customer RFPs and RFIs
