Key responsibilities & impact

Design rugged avionics enclosures that survive launch and space environments
Partner with electrical engineers to integrate and protect PCB systems
Conduct critical thermal and structural analyses to ensure reliability
Develop technical documentation and engineering drawings
Lead trade studies to find optimal solutions for complex design challenges
Support testing to verify your designs meet mission requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar engineering discipline
2+ years designing electro-mechanical avionics assemblies
Strong 3D CAD skills (especially Creo/Pro-E)
Experience with GD&T implementation (ASME Y14.5)
Background in ruggedized electronics protection
Knowledge of PCBA integration, manufacturing, and connector selection
Experience with EMI shielding, thermal management, and structural protection
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
