General

• Assist an Apex client with occupational safety & health.
• Involved in preventing workplace injury and risk by completing checklist-based health and safety audits of building plans, buildings under construction and retrofitted buildings.
• Interface with client stakeholders, construction teams, developers, engineers, and building occupants to ensure the client gets a safe operational facility.
• Conduct site observations focused on identifying and assessing compliance with client-developed design requirements.
• Collaborates and executes safety projects with numerous internal and external stakeholders in the interest of achieving desired project velocity.
• Provides input to project managers, client relationship managers, or business development staff on status of the project.

Construction Safety Professional

Engineering Manager

• As a team member, you will be responsible for participating in a variety of water resources engineering projects at the proposal, planning and execution stages for engineering studies and construction projects.
• Lead and be responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings for water control structures, regional flood mitigation projects, and water quality improvement projects.
• Obtain a thorough understanding of stormwater analysis and design through related experience. This will include the preparation of stormwater management plans involving hydraulic and hydrologic modeling analyses, hydrogeology, preparation of design concepts, assessment of climatic data, flood assessments, floodplain mapping and modeling, flood mitigation designs, natural channel design, environmental compliance and regulatory permitting.
• Technical review and sealing of engineering design drawings, where applicable.
• Hands on experience with stormwater management modeling, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and StormWise/ICPR4.

Operations

• The Water/Wastewater Operations Manager will provide day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, and compliance-focused oversight for Apex’s water and wastewater operations and maintenance services.
• This role will supervise certified and non-certified operations staff serving as circuit riders for municipal, commercial, and private treatment systems, while collaborating with project managers, engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies to support safe, compliant, and efficient system operations.
• Responsibilities include:
• Supervise, schedule, coach, and support water and wastewater operations and maintenance staff performing circuit-rider services at multiple client facilities.
• Oversee daily and weekly staffing assignments to ensure proper operator coverage, site visits, sampling, maintenance activities, and emergency response support.
• Travel to client facilities to review water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and related infrastructure.
• Review treatment operations, maintenance activities, process controls, field observations, and operating data with Apex operators, project managers, and engineering staff.
• Serve as, or coordinate with, the assigned operator-in-responsible-charge where required and where properly licensed/certified.
