About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collect groundwater samples for dewatering and baseline water quality.
Support preparation of environmental permits and reports for projects, facilities, and operations for various clients.
High degree of technical competency with completing baseline water quality sampling in Colorado and/or Wyoming.
Familiarity with NPDES permitting in Colorado and/or Wyoming.
Provide technical oversight and mentor scientific staff to ensure quality work products.
Conduct water quality sampling and prepare environmental compliance reports and technical deliverables.
Client interaction includes onsite and virtual client meetings.
Strong track record of field work, proposal development and managing project deliverables, schedules and budgets.
Understanding of environmental legislation and regulations and determine impact on client activities.
Define and develop your own professional growth with mentoring from project managers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in chemical, environmental or civil engineering, geology, environmental science, or another related field.
4+ years of environmental consulting or industry experience.
Adept at conducting baseline water quality and dewatering sampling following Colorado and Wyoming guidelines.
Proficient at independently researching, reviewing, and guiding compliance with environmental regulations at a federal, state and local level; including NPDES & discharge permitting.
Experience with water sampling for groundwater and/or surface water.
Ability to multi-task and solve problems while maintaining quality and manage your own time.
Strong safety awareness, and an understanding of safe work practices.
Excellent writing and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are required.
Valid driver's license and a good driving history are required.
Experience supporting clients with Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) regulatory compliance.
