• Coming up with innovative solutions to help users get the most out of Algolia
• Executing experiments and A/B tests to choose the best possible solution
• Collaborating with Product and Design teams to identify and ideate on opportunities
• Mentoring other software engineers and helping them grow
• Designing & developing a scalable growth platform
• Working with a wide range of teams to deliver a solid growth foundation
• Improving engineering quality, processes and tooling
• Helping define the team roadmap (We follow a bottom-up approach: the teams come up with their own initiatives targeting our metrics and execute on them)

Senior Software Engineer, Growth – Fullstack

Support Engineer

• Handling technical requests via web and email support channels.
• Conducting professional and empathetic conversations with customers to gather information, troubleshoot, and resolve their technical obstacles.
• Submitting bug reports to the Engineering team for problems needing attention.
• Partnering with Product Teams and Engineering to develop subject matter expertise and serve as a product expert to the rest of the support team.
• Contributing to internal and external knowledge bases.
• Participating in internal projects to improve processes and tools.

Junior Developer Support Engineer

• Be a key full-stack contributor to the design, development, and operation of the Merchandising services at scale
• Be responsible for the quality, reliability and availability of the system
• Work with other teams to build features and resolve high impact issues

Senior Software Engineer, Merchandising

Security Engineer

• Design and automate controls, detection mechanisms, and tooling to improve the Information Security of Algolia’s infrastructure and products
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new Information Security technologies, techniques, and frameworks
• Design, implement, and maintain information security monitoring and remediation systems that move the needle in protecting Algolia’s customers’ data, and protecting Algolia’s systems and data
• Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate Information Security into new features, systems, and development pipelines
• Contribute to improving Information Security standards, processes, and best practices across the company
• Conduct Information Security risk assessments and threat models of core systems, services, and third-party vendors (this does not include answering customer third-party risk assessment questionnaires).
• Participate in and sometimes lead Information Security incident response activities and post-incident analysis
• Support ongoing and emerging Information Security and compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, Type II, ISO 27001, C5, GDPR)
• Manage and enhance Algolia’s public bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs

Senior Information Security Engineer

• Architecture, design and develop external and internal experiences for our products, especially our Shopify Application
• Take ownership, research and deliver world class experiences
• Build integrations with external APIs, connectors and API clients
• Help define engineering best practices and processes
• Work closely with the rest of the R&D team to deliver the tools they need to develop next-generation products

Software Engineer, Full Stack

• Architecture, design and develop external and internal experiences for our products, especially our Shopify Application
