Account Manager

• Account Management: Take full ownership of the account, managing promotional activities, forecasting, and working collaboratively with key internal and external teams to deliver business objectives. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of forecasts and business targets.
• Commercial Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of P&L management and drive contribution through effective negotiation and planning. Build comprehensive joint business plans with customers, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Forecasting & Data Management: Own the process for weekly, period, and annual forecasting, using multiple data sources to generate accurate and actionable forecasts. Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure forecasts are executed seamlessly.
• Negotiation & Influencing: Prepare and execute successful negotiations, ensuring the protection of AG Barr's values and mitigating risks. Build strong relationships with key contacts at all levels, both internally and externally, to ensure long-term strategic partnerships.
• Building Customer Influence: Adapt communication style and approach to align with customer needs. Gain deep insights into customers’ internal systems and objectives, using this knowledge to create effective and customer-centric plans.
• Training & Development: Proactively manage personal and team development, ensuring competencies align with commercial goals. Provide leadership and guidance, developing skills through performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring to cultivate future leaders within the business.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: Partner with commercial managers, business unit leaders, and other internal departments such as finance, HR, and supply chain to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution of plans.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics, ensuring business objectives are met. Address any discrepancies in performance and adjust plans as necessary.

• End to End Project Management:
• Manage NPD and EPD projects all the way from inception to launch
• Maintain a comprehensive, real-time overview of projects, including their status, timelines, dependencies and risks
• Develop and manage project plans, ensuring that all projects are progressing towards their goals and staying on schedule
• Proactively identify potential risks, roadblocks, and conflicts within and between projects and develop mitigation strategies
• Facilitate regular project meetings ensuring they are efficient, productive, and focused on key actions and decisions
• Action and Task Management:
• Capture, document, and track all action items and decisions arising
• Assign clear ownership for each action item to the appropriate individual or team
• Escalate overdue or critical action items to relevant project sponsors or management
• Resource and Stakeholder Management:
• Help to identify and allocate resources needed for the successful execution of projects.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, cross functionally, to ensure projects are sufficiently resourced and any gaps are highlighted
• Communicate project updates, progress, and challenges to all relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Reporting and Analytics:
• Generate regular status reports for management, highlighting progress, risks, and resource needs
• Use data and metrics to analyse project performance and identify areas for process improvement.

Account Executive

• Channel Strategy & KPI Delivery: Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover growth, gross profit percentage, volume growth, distribution, and cost per litre, all within agreed annual budget costings.
• Customer & BDM Management: Build and manage strong relationships with key contacts within your account base, including controllers, area managers, and supply chain teams, to support business growth and customer relationship development.
• Promotional Activity Management: Monitor promotional activity and ensure brand strategies are delivered effectively. Challenge key contacts to ensure optimal ROI from promotional spend through analysis and evaluation of sales data.
• In-Store Execution: Drive excellence in-store execution through coordination with the field sales force, ensuring AG Barr products are visible, well-displayed, and aligned with brand expectations.
• Account Planning: Use market data, including customer EPOS data, to evaluate activity, develop account-specific plans, and maximise business opportunities in collaboration with National Account Managers (NAMs) and cross-functional teams.
• Budget Management: Manage and track the budget for your customer account portfolio, ensuring spend is aligned with the overall business plan while working to reduce costs and maximise profitability.
• Trade Days & Displays: Organise and manage trade days, displays in depot/store, and trade shows, ensuring successful execution and driving brand presence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including NPD, logistics, and marketing, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and participate in relevant projects.

• Financial Control – Work with finance partners to deliver effective management of budgets and cost bases to achieve all commercial contribution targets and objectives.
• Operational - Working with internal and external partners to maximise efficiencies, cost control, stock holding and service levels to deliver a best in class operational arm to our company.
