Field Engineer

• The (Cryogenic) Field Service Technician contributes to the success of installing and providing care for on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk medical or industrial gas systems in a safe and operationally effective manner, aligned with all federal, state/provincial and local codes, and Airgas policies.
• Collaborates on the installation and care of nitrogen on-site generation equipment.
• Supports cryogenic bulk installations both at Airgas facilities and customer sites.
• Restores and optimizes pressure reduction equipment associated with bulk delivery systems.
• Evaluates and performs general improvements to electrical systems associated with N2 generation and cryogenic installations, including: motor controls and relays, low pressure, high pressure and liquid level alarm systems.
• Coordinates the placement of decals and warning signs for the proper identification of hazards, warnings, ownership, normal operational settings, emergency contacts, etc.
• Performs installation of piping systems in alignment with company SOP’s.
• Conducts Site Surveys to foster compliance with all federal, state/provincial and local codes.
• Fosters the security of fencing provided to protect installations from tampering or unauthorized entry.
• Performs periodic preventative maintenance tasks on N2 generation equipment based on the PM schedule to ensure long-term reliability.
• Performs annual evaluations of all bulk installation sites to support their condition and correct operation.
• Champion of safety policies and procedures to ensure everyone returns home safely.
• Maintains an appropriate stock of recommended parts necessary to support typical installations within the assigned customer base.
• Supporting the team in other areas as needed.

Field Service Technician

• Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs) on UPS systems (both minor and major services)
• Help inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment
• Support repairs such as battery replacements, fans, and capacitors
• Learn how to read basic diagrams and schematics
• Complete service reports accurately after each job
• Help with equipment start-ups, installations, and project work
• Work directly with customers and represent QPS in a professional way

Field Service Technician – Entry Level

• Perform field service work at customer sites which includes installation, commissioning, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance and repair, ensuring full functionality according to machine specifications.
• Perform all mechanical, electrical, electronic and optical tuning and setup.
• Analyze, evaluate and diagnose equipment; troubleshooting machine problems through to resolution.
• Perform preventative maintenance including preseason service, postseason service and enhancing ongoing performance of machines.
• React in a prompt and professional manner to customer machine issues in the field.
• Where an easy fix is not possible, ensure customer is well informed of the next steps and potential costs.
• Address customer complaints and if necessary, escalate to appropriate stakeholders.

• Act as the voice of the customer in the value chain to improve products systems and services, by reporting on feedback and comments received in the field leadership, research and development, or sales.
• Assist with training and development of new Field Service Engineers, as requested.
• Instruct and train customers on operation of machine, utilization and required maintenance of the systems.

Field Service Engineer

• Serve as a senior technical resource responsible for leading complex engineering work supporting the operation, maintenance, repair, and long-term asset management of Dairyland Power’s gas turbine plant equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Provide technical leadership, establish or improve maintenance and reliability strategies, diagnose complex equipment malfunctions, and develop safe, engineered, and cost-effective solutions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and serve as a primary technical advisor for gas turbine outages, performance, and reliability.
• Serve as senior/resident engineering lead for assigned gas turbine facilities as directed, providing strategic and day-to-day engineering support and ensuring effective communication and alignment between Operations, Plant Engineering, and plant leadership.
• Lead technical direction, planning, and execution strategy for major gas turbine maintenance outages (Combustion, Hot Gas Path, Major Inspection, Generator, etc.), including scope development, risk identification/mitigation, and post-outage lessons learned.
• Produce and/or approve high-quality outage and investigation reports, including repair/replace recommendations, technical justification, and lifecycle impacts.
• Lead evaluation of OEM/service bulletins and fleet-wide recommendations; define compliance and implementation strategy and ensure technical consistency across facilities.
• Develop, optimize, and standardize maintenance management and reliability programs/best practices for dual-fuel gas turbine operations; drive continuous improvement using performance and reliability metrics.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex turbine and auxiliary system issues, integrating multi-discipline input; develop corrective action plans and prevent recurrence.
• Provide senior-level technical specifications and procurement support; evaluate vendor proposals and technical deviations; support selection decisions and contract technical requirements.
• Lead documentation for major engineered and special maintenance projects (project requests, estimates, schedules, procurement documents, progress/completion reporting) and ensure documentation quality and completeness.
• Ensure cooperative resources are used in a cost-effective manner; provide technical input that supports long-term cost optimization and reliability goals.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of A/Es, consultants, business partners, OEMs, and DPC personnel for successful completion of complex projects; ensure quality, schedule, and safety expectations are met.
• Lead data collection, analysis, and trending (performance, reliability, failure modes) to identify issues and improvement opportunities; recommend and justify operational and equipment changes.
• Provide senior technical support in communications with regulatory agencies at federal, state, and local levels as needed; ensure technical accuracy and completeness of engineering-related responses.
• Maintain and expand professional expertise through industry engagement, conferences, and professional networks; bring forward relevant innovations and lessons learned to improve fleet performance.
• Lead feasibility studies, surveys, and engineering investigations; lead/approve engineering design reviews and provide technical authority input into contract documents.

Field Service Technician – Travel-Based

• The Field Service Technician – Sheetfed is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and training customers on Heidelberg equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance & train on Sheetfed equipment via charge service
• Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance & train on Sheetfed equipment under service contract/warranty
• Work with assigned qualified riggers to install new or used equipment that are sales generated.
• This includes installation work orders and charge service.
• Inspect equipment generated via SS36 (10,20,30 & annual inspections) completing the proper documentation and attaching photographs.

• Responsible for the Implementation of complex communication system infrastructure and technical support of specialized sub-systems and product applications.
• Troubleshoot software-driven electronics, IP networks, server and network hardware, and performance verification and optimization of RF and broadband architecture.
• Team with Systems Engineering, Project Management, and Sales personnel to effectively design, implement, optimize, test, cutover, and document advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.
