About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide guidance and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives
Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment
Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including Startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment
Lead outages with other field engineers, technicians, and contractors
Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet, and expense sheets
Plan, prepare, and/or instruct both internal and external training programs as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma and 6 years of related engineering / field experience
Ability and willingness to travel up to an estimated 75% of the time
Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers is preferred
Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines are preferred
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
