About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Troubleshoot or install complex, customized packaging and processing equipment at customer facilities
Repair equipment to customer specifications quickly and efficiently
Conduct training for customers on the safe operations of equipment, maintenance, and parts ordering
Provide contact information for service team for future service needs and parts needs
Ensure customers are comfortable with operational and safety procedures of their equipment
Complete service documentation of repairs made during the call and submit related trip expenses
Ensure reports are complete, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of job completion
Complete weekly expense reports and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner
Handle all expenses in a cost-effective manner
Work with flexible schedule accommodating internal and external customers' needs
Commit to overnight travel as required and work outside normal business hours, including weekends

Requirements

What you’ll need

Traveling Field Service Technicians use technical drawings
Electromechanical knowledge
Complex problem-solving skills to maintain, service, and repair large, high-powered packaging and processing machinery
Significant mechanical aptitude
Ability to troubleshoot large-scale, complex machinery mechanically, electrically, and operationally
Strong electrical and mechanical experience
Pneumatic and machine shop skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent customer service
Ability to work in high stress environments
Ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations
