• Assist the Legal Research team with the implementation of key activities under NASTAD’s health systems legal and policy portfolio.
• Conduct public health legal research, synthesize complex policy material, and support the development of deliverables to aid health department efforts to navigate federal, state, and local laws and policies.

Intern, Legal Research

• Design decision trees, escalation frameworks, workflow logic, and prompt architectures for family law workflows.
• Collaborate with attorneys and operational teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Help structure and maintain institutional legal knowledge repositories, workflow playbooks, and operational guidance systems.
• Develop and refine AI prompts, retrieval systems, and workflow orchestration logic.
• Assist in building AI-powered intake systems, document automation workflows, and client communication systems.
• Partner with product managers, developers, and AI engineers on implementation and testing.

• develop 'congressional pipeline' initiatives for incoming students, current students, and recent graduates
• work with various congressional offices on efforts to identify opportunities for volunteer and paid employment
