About the role
- Prospecting and closing sales to new customers to achieve budgeted sales goals.
- Develop and implement selling and retention strategies to grow billable value and profitability.
- Manage and grow existing business relationships; prevent customer account losses and diffuse cancellation requests.
- Maintain sales pipeline and prospect development plans; meet sales call activity goals.
- Handle all customer service escalations within the defined territory and resolve unique customer issues.
- Obtain customer contract commitments during face-to-face interactions and conduct customer site visits.
- Propose customer solutions compliant with local, state and federal regulations; prepare complex proposals and equipment/leasing recommendations.
- Work closely with Plant Managers, Brokerage Account Managers, and Area Sales Managers to improve service and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relative work experience.
- 4 years of work experience in direct business-to-business sales, cold calling, and phone-based prospecting resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments (in addition to education requirement).
- Must reside in the greater Denver, CO area based on customer need.
- Required to conduct customer site visits the majority of the week.
- Ability to handle customer cancellation requests, secure contract commitments, and resolve customer service escalations within the defined territory.
- Knowledge of pricing, competition, negotiation, and proposal preparation.
- Willingness/ability to travel and obtain REAL ID or TSA approved alternative if required.
