About the role
- Drive expansion of Whatnot’s supply by acquiring and nurturing new livestream sellers
- Oversee a portfolio and manage the entire sales cycle from pitching and onboarding to coaching and growth
- Source and prospect sellers, securing discovery and onboarding calls
- Lead sales calls (primarily over video and phone), overcome objections, and communicate Whatnot’s value proposition
- Close sellers and onboard them onto the platform, setting them up for success
- Utilize key data points to assess seller growth, success, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with internal partners to develop business growth strategies and communicate product improvements and feedback
- Become the go-to expert on how SMBs can scale their business with Whatnot
- Deeply understand the end-to-end sales process and collaborate with the team to bring high-potential sellers to Whatnot
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing role
- Experience selling and closing deals
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and client needs simultaneously
- Proficiency with a CRM software and willingness to learn new systems
- Business acumen and strong analytical skills
- Fast learner and self-starter
- Comfortable talking to people, solving challenges, and driving towards sales goals
- Scrappy and flexible enough to work in an ambiguous environment with limited guidance
- Passion for Whatnot’s mission and creator communities
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Nice to have:
- Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform
- Proficiency in Airtable and Salesforce
- Experience buying and selling in online marketplaces
