About the role
- Analyze, structure, underwrite, and coordinate closing of major and complex loans in compliance with Bank policies and procedures
- Work with the Vice President, Commercial Banker to manage loans and ensure credit risks are responsibly monitored and identified
- Assist in attaining Bank, region, and branch goals through underwriting and closing desirable credits
- Assure compliance with all Bank policies and applicable state and federal banking regulations
- Interface with clients in-person, over the phone and email to assess credit needs and determine loan structure and required analysis
- Gather and analyze necessary information to present financing requests to senior management or Loan Committee for approval
- Coordinate processing of approved loans and ensure loans are processed according to agreement and Bank lending policies
- Obtain sufficient documentation from customers and assist in solving processing and servicing issues within the portfolio
- Reinforce superior customer service and follow-through with customers and employees
- Handle underwriting, portfolio management, and upkeep tasks related to new loan requests and existing Relationship Managers portfolio
Requirements
- 6+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations (deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics
- Credit analyst training completed
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
- Interest in working with venture-backed technology companies
