As a Senior Account Executive based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a critical role in driving new business growth for Wati in Malaysia and the wider region.
You will act as a trusted advisor to prospects, showcasing how Wati can transform customer engagement through WhatsApp.
This role focuses on taking demo calls, representing Wati at events, and closing deals.
You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, partnerships, and customer success to accelerate revenue growth.
Own the full sales cycle from qualification to close, driving new business in Malaysia and regional markets.
Conduct compelling product demos for inbound and outbound prospects.
Represent Wati at local and regional industry events, partner events, and webinars to generate and convert leads.
Build and nurture relationships with mid-market and enterprise clients, particularly in eCommerce and customer engagement sectors.
Negotiate contracts, manage deal structures, and ensure customer success from the first engagement.
Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Provide market feedback to product and marketing teams to strengthen our offering in Malaysia and beyond.
Requirements
4+ years of SaaS sales experience, ideally with mid-market or enterprise clients.
Proven track record of achieving/exceeding quota in a consultative sales environment.
Strong demo and presentation skills; ability to tailor messaging to business needs.
Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory). Proficiency in Malay and/or Mandarin is highly preferred.
Self-driven, comfortable working remotely, and able to manage pipeline independently.
Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) and structured sales methodologies
Bonus: Background selling to eCommerce, digital, or customer engagement platforms in Southeast Asia.
