Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, touring stores and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach)
Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction
Introduce and lead company change efforts; provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions
Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model
Manage and support customer service initiatives and resolve customer needs, complaints and issues
Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and drive process improvements
Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses
Monitor merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes; implement plans to mitigate shrink
Hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, recognize associates and promote a belonging mindset
Coordinate job-related activities with stakeholders to meet customer and business needs and build accountability
Ensure compliance with company policies, support Open Door Policy, and uphold Walmart values such as Respect the Individual and Act with Integrity
Requirements
2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience
For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
Preferred: Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
Preferred: General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
