Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction.
Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model; manages and supports customer service initiatives and community outreach programs.
Ensures customer needs, complaints and issues are successfully resolved; develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership.
Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes; develops action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability and measuring progress.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports company mission, values and standards of ethics and integrity, and implements related action plans using the Open Door Policy.
Requirements
2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
Preferred: Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
Preferred: General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
