Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach).
Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
Introduce and lead company change efforts, set clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams.
Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model; manage and support customer service initiatives and community outreach programs; resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues.
Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgeting/forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, operational processes, and implementing actions to mitigate shrink.
Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates: hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognition, promoting belonging, recruiting and developing associates.
Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments: develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, support plans/initiatives, identify/communicate goals, build accountability, measure progress, and address improvement opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, ethics, and integrity; implement action plans and provide direction on Open Door Policy.
Requirements
2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, may require a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility.
