Lead and develop store teams through teaching, training, touring stores and providing feedback (Tour to Teach)
Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction
Introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions
Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and manage customer service initiatives and community outreach
Resolve customer needs, complaints and issues and develop/implement action plans to correct deficiencies
Provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience
Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses
Monitor merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes and develop/implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales/profit goals
Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations and providing recognition
Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth
Coordinate, complete and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans/initiatives, setting goals, measuring progress and addressing improvement opportunities
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support company mission, values and standards of ethics and integrity, and apply the Open Door Policy
Promote a culture of belonging, respect the individual, act with integrity, serve customers and strive for excellence
Requirements
2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience
For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training
For facilities that sell only ammunition: may require a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility (where state specific requirements apply)
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
Preferred: Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
Preferred: General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
