• Analyze and curate existing data sources to support Product and Business stakeholders
• Own defined components of the analytical lifecycle, from data exploration through insight delivery

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Support Walker & Dunlop Investment Sales production members with financial modeling of multifamily assets
• Produce institutional-quality marketing materials
• Maintain detailed market analysis
• Perform financial analysis of existing, value-add, and ground-up multifamily opportunities using the proprietary WDIS underwriting model
• Assist with researching, writing, and proofreading investment sales offering memorandums and Broker Opinion of Values
• Research and maintain databases tracking investment sales activity, construction pipeline, and relevant real estate metrics
• Develop and maintain market knowledge through industry journals, economic forecasts, and news periodicals
• Assist in creating and editing state-of-the-market presentations for national conferences and private client meetings
• Coordinate transactions and due diligence for the Investment Sales team

Associate Director, Multifamily Investment Sales

Analyst

• Provide closing support to the Closing Officers with a particular emphasis on data management, due diligence review, and document preparation
• Close assumptions, supplementals and vanilla agency loans under the supervision of a senior closing officer
• Support Delivery Management.
• Manage receipt and review of due diligence items and ensure all necessary participants receive copies
• Track rate lock and closing special conditions
• Assist with drafting commitments
• Calculate interest only payments / generate amortization schedules
• Prepare rate lock confirmations
• Prepare C&D commitments and submissions on Fannie Mae deals
• Upload required Freddie Mac documentation
• Prepare escrow analyses for tax and insurance escrows
• Prepare reconciliation of application fee and third-party costs
• Generate closing documents for review by Closing Officer and prepare accounting packages and bank packages for funding
• Prepare Kyriba entries and submit for 1st level approval

GSE Closing Analyst

• Verify Davis Bacon Wage Rates for all active HUD construction loans.
• Prepare reconciliation of application fee and third-party costs.
• Generate income notice and prepare audit packages.
• Effectively communicate with borrower/property manager to outline what repairs should be completed prior to closing and become familiar with USFA and ADA compliance requirements.
• Work with title agents to collect and verify wire instructions for loan funding purposes.
• Create HUD’s pay.gov documentation for approval, submission, and payment.
• Ensure data in WD internal systems is complete and accurate.
• Generate closing documents for review by Closing Officer and prepare accounting packages and bank packages for funding.
• Prepare Kyriba entries and submit for 1st level approval.
• Prepare escrow analysis for tax and insurance escrows.
• Ensure that data in Salesforce is complete and accurate throughout the process.
• Set up Servicing Deliverables folder within 48 hours of closing.
• Follow up with counsel if documents are not received by required deadline.
• Generate Ginnie Mae Assignment documents for warehousing purposes.
• Review closing documents obtained from outside counsel for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare, submit and follow up on any HUD refund requests.
• Accurately populate Ginnie Mae data systems with project deal terms for MBS generation.
• Work with external legal counsel to clear all Ginnie Mae exceptions on a monthly basis.

HUD Closing Analyst

• Lead the Acquisitions Team in the lower-tier due diligence, underwriting, negotiation, and closing process for WDAE’s affordable housing investments, with responsibility for protecting the economic, legal, and governance interests of WDAE’s investor limited partners (“ILPs”).
• Oversee lower-tier negotiations and communications with developers, direct WDAE’s business positions in transaction documents, and supervise outside counsel to ensure negotiated outcomes are consistent with approved underwriting, investor requirements, and WDAE governance standards.
• Manage team workflows related to Property Acquisition Report (“PAR”) packages, PAR models, Investment Committee materials, and investor deliverables, ensuring materials clearly present material risks, key assumptions, structural protections, and impacts to ILP interests.
• Lead ongoing improvements to WDAE’s lower-tier closing processes, including enhanced use of systems and tools such as iManage, ChatGPT, and other technology platforms, while maintaining appropriate controls, documentation standards, and approval protocols.
• Interface with investors regarding lower-tier deal structure, due diligence, underwriting assumptions, and transaction risks, ensuring communications are accurate, complete, and consistent with approved deal terms and risk assessments.
• Communicate directly with developers, as needed, to facilitate lower-tier closings, resolve business and legal issues, and maintain disciplined negotiation boundaries.
• Train, motivate, evaluate, and support the career development of Acquisitions Team members, including reinforcing sound underwriting judgment, fiduciary awareness, and adherence to governance protocols.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration among Originations, Investor Relations, Asset Management, and Finance to balance platform growth, execution quality, investor expectations, and risk management.
• Assist Originators with review of draft letters of intent (“LOIs”) and provide deal structuring guidance, while preserving Acquisitions’ responsibility for lower-tier diligence, negotiations, and final business recommendations.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the Group Head of Affordable Equity and executive management regarding transaction risk, structural protections, negotiation strategy, market trends, process improvements, and other matters affecting WDAE’s platform.
• Serve as a member of the WDAE Investment Committee, ensuring investment decisions are well-documented, analytically sound, and aligned with WDAE’s underwriting standards, governance protocols, and investor obligations.
• Participate in the development of organizational plans, investment programs, and platform initiatives, with a focus on alignment of execution quality, governance, risk management, and scalable growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

SVP, Acquisitions – Investment Management

• Provide closing support to the Closing Officers with a particular emphasis on data management, due diligence review, and document preparation
• Close assumptions, supplementals and vanilla agency loans under the supervision of a senior closing officer
• Support Delivery Management
• Manage receipt and review of due diligence items and ensure all necessary participants receive copies

• Back up the closing analyst responsible for the preparation of income notices and the follow up on servicing set up issues
• Ensure that data in Salesforce is complete and accurate throughout the process
• Generate Midland HML within required timelines
• Ensure that documents needed within 48 hours for loan set up are received and placed in the Servicing Deliverables folder
• Follow up with counsel if documents are not received by required deadline
• Prepare C&D commitments and submissions on Fannie Mae deals
• Prepare Funding Express submissions on Fannie Mae deals and provide necessary information and back up support to the Early Funding Desk
• Review C&D and the final 4662 before submission of the loan for securitization to ensure accuracy and consistency
