About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Walker & Dunlop Investment Sales production members with financial modeling of multifamily assets
  • Produce institutional-quality marketing materials
  • Maintain detailed market analysis
  • Perform financial analysis of existing, value-add, and ground-up multifamily opportunities using the proprietary WDIS underwriting model
  • Assist with researching, writing, and proofreading investment sales offering memorandums and Broker Opinion of Values
  • Research and maintain databases tracking investment sales activity, construction pipeline, and relevant real estate metrics
  • Develop and maintain market knowledge through industry journals, economic forecasts, and news periodicals
  • Assist in creating and editing state-of-the-market presentations for national conferences and private client meetings
  • Coordinate transactions and due diligence for the Investment Sales team
  • Maintain files and ensure mandatory disclosures are completed and routed for review and approval
  • Contact interested parties regarding missing documents
  • Maintain quality-controlled systems for efficient deal closing
  • Monitor sales progress, deadlines, and contingencies
  • Perform preliminary file audits for management review
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree; Finance and/or Real Estate concentration preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field preferred
  • Client relationship management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and productively in time-sensitive situations
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours or weekends when appropriate to meet deadlines
  • Excellent financial modeling skills, including thorough knowledge of Excel
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Word
  • Ability to learn Salesforce and other company software as needed
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to take ownership of work, accept challenges, acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness when working with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Attendance generally required from 8:30 am–5:30 pm local time, Monday through Friday
