• Serve as a core member on the marketing and customer onboarding teams that supports the personal loan, small dollar loan, open line of credit, and auto refinance products offered through Upstart’s bank partnership platform
• Perform legal research and provide practical legal guidance cross functionally on the application of state and federal law governing various consumer financial products offered via Upstart’s platform, including developing legal analyses and requirements documents for marketing campaigns and loan origination
• Advise cross functional teams on consumer product designs for online experiences
• Provide guidance on disputes and issues escalated from the Compliance team, such as those related to marketing and loan origination

Senior Product and Regulatory Counsel, Growth Marketing

Product Manager

• Own the strategy and execution for internal tools, integrations and infrastructure powering customer experiences and growth platforms
• Develop and execute strategies to invest in platforms, tools and growth infrastructure to power partnerships and marketing efforts

Product Marketing

• Lead product marketing for a new product focused on replacing high-cost payday and cash advance loans; drive growth strategy, go-to-market execution, and customer adoption from ground up.
• Partner with cross-functional leads to execute company-wide growth initiatives that reimagine packaging and distribution of products.

Product Marketing Manager, Growth

IT Support

• Define and execute the vision for Upstart’s internal IT platforms, services, and engineering capabilities
• Lead and mentor a team of IT Engineers across enterprise tooling, automation, endpoint engineering, and identity
• Architect and implement scalable, cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
• Drive automation across IT workflows to reduce manual operations, improve reliability, and increase velocity
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Security, People, Compliance, and Engineering to ensure IT platforms meet business and compliance needs
• Enhance observability and incident response within internal platforms to reduce downtime and improve employee experience

Senior Manager, IT Engineering

• Principal Product Manager for Servicing designing tools and systems for recovering funds when borrowers are unable to repay across all Upstart loan products
• Define strategy for Auto loan collections and recoveries in partnership with Operations leadership
• Partner with Operations to establish technology and processes for collections and recoveries when borrowers become delinquent
• Deeply understand delinquent borrowers and collaborate with design to deliver borrower-centered products

Principal Product Manager, Servicing

• Serve as the lead lawyer advising the business on applicable laws and regulations such as the GLBA, CCPA, and other state and federal privacy laws, as well as emerging “Responsible AI” and privacy laws.
• Engage directly with Upstart’s product, operations, privacy, security, finance, legal and compliance teams regarding Upstart’s obligations under privacy and data security laws; perform legal research and provide memos as necessary.
• Research, analyze and provide recommendations regarding data use and data sharing abilities within applicable laws.
• Provide legal recommendations to senior leadership, business partners and the Compliance/Risk function on key issues and strategy driving this important part of our business.

Data Analyst

• Staff Data Analyst will work with Capital Markets and Lending Partnership teams to influence capital strategy and work directly with institutional capital providers.

Staff Data Analyst, Capital Markets

Backend Engineer

• As a Database Engineer on the Database Engineering team, you will own the tooling, maintenance and performance optimizations of our production database systems built on Postgres technology.
• The Database Engineering team is responsible for all of the AWS RDS infrastructure which powers our loans.
• You will lead by developing tools and processes; You’ll have wide latitude in technology options to help us choose the right technology for our evolving data workflows.

• Time Zone Requirements - This team operates on the East/West Coast time zones.
• Travel Requirements - As a digital first company, the majority of your work can be accomplished remotely.
