About the role
- Serve as the key point of contact with assigned credit unions, continually enhancing and building upon overall business relationship
- Develop growth, retention and cross-sell opportunities by leveraging and proposing TruStage products and services
- Gather detailed information about accounts, analyze and prioritize information to develop sales strategies
- Lead cross-discipline sales account teams and utilize consultative selling techniques
- Propose products and services that support strategic plans of assigned credit unions and strive for profitable growth
- Establish, implement, and monitor service level agreements with assigned credit union customers
- Manage performance to sales plan and territory plans using metrics and scorecards
- Develop and implement action plans to increase profitability, including growth, retention, rehabilitation, or termination of activity
- Develop and deliver proposals; forecast and report on sales activity
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of activities and challenges within assigned credit unions and use established sales management system
- Analyze loss of business information to inform future account work
- Develop and maintain understanding of diverse financial services markets and position TruStage products in new markets
- Continue developing sales, business and leadership competencies and research TruStage product solutions
- Adhere to all sales and support processes and conduct self with high standards of honesty, fairness and integrity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong sales aptitude and proven track record of success
- Demonstrated knowledge of TruStage products and services (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan projects and maintain deadlines with strong organizational skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow complex processes, with aptitude for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, relationship building, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to integrate computer technology into sales processes
- Demonstrated strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively build business relationships with internal and external clients
- Proven experience in developing strategies which will improve competitive position
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations
- Life and Health Insurance License and P&C License (both resident and non-resident immediately upon or 90 days after employment)
