About the role
- Provide performance insights into bad debt performance and portfolio quality
- Support IFRS 9 provisioning, loss forecasting and provisioning modelling
- Assess portfolio quality, write offs and bad debt analytics
- Develop statistical models and analytics using programming languages
- Work closely with Credit Risk, Finance and Treasury colleagues
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage stakeholder expectations
- Coach and develop other analysts and act as a role-model within the team
- Make data-driven decisions and act on critical insights promptly
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline
- Understanding and experience of IFRS 9 accounting principles & modelling
- Previous experience working in credit risk, statistical analysis or data science role
- Proven ability to develop statistical models and provide insightful analytics in a variety of programming languages
- Highly analytical and commercial mindset with ability to influence stakeholders and drive business improvement
- Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to undergo credit, CIFAS, Right to Work checks and possibly a DBS check if required
