Merchandise Associate

Manager

• Oversee all aspects of store operations to boost sales, control expenses, and minimize shrink and damages.
• This includes merchandise presentation, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving.
• Recruit, train, develop, and manage a large team of Associates and Assistant Managers.
• Act as a role model and provide individualized development for Assistant Store Managers to ensure their readiness for promotion to Store Manager positions.
• Develop and implement creative plans to increase store sales.
• Suggest recommendations to the District Manager on merchandise mix, inventory levels, and customer demographics.
• Provide insights on competition analysis, including pricing, presentation, and customer service.
• Focus staff on Loss Prevention priorities and ensure compliance with company programs, procedures, and policies to minimize risk and expenses.
• Review store reports, conduct walkthroughs, audits, and hold program meetings with Associates.
• Ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience by maintaining high standards in customer service and merchandise presentation.
• Develop and communicate action plans for store initiatives, identifying projects, targets, and priorities.

Store Manager

Events

• Conduct covert, plain‑clothes surveillance in high‑risk stores and retail precincts to identify recidivist offenders and organised retail crime activity.
• Maintain personal and team safety at all times, adhering to TJX safety protocols and legal guidelines for observation and reporting.
• Ensure a discreet, professional presence to avoid confrontation and minimise operational risk.
• Immediately escalate incidents involving violence, aggression, or associate safety concerns to the ORC Supervisor and Police.
• Observe and accurately document offender behaviour, modus operandi, and concealment techniques, maintaining detailed notes and evidence logs.
• Communicate real‑time intelligence to Police and ORC teams via approved channels to support safe apprehension outside store premises.
• Support ORC investigations through witness statements, CCTV referencing, and compliant evidence handling and chain‑of‑custody processes.
• Assist in developing local intelligence packages and offender profiles for ORC reporting systems.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with Police and centre security teams.
• Provide actionable intelligence to support shrink reduction strategies and targeted ORC interventions.
• Contribute to ORC KPI reporting, case file preparation, court‑ready documentation, and continuous improvement of covert operations.

Covert Loss Prevention Associate

• Completes the daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs
• Maintains positive relationships with Store Management
• Conducts apprehensions within established policies and guidelines
• Communicates with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives
• Identifies and resolves internal and external theft
• Adheres to established shoplifter guidelines and policies
• Provides timely, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Observes, apprehends, and/or deters any acts of dishonesty from outside sources
• Participates in investigations and surveillance as assigned
• Ensures apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity
• Completes and distributes paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintains appropriate evidence, demonstrates understanding of law enforcement procedures and professionally participates in legal activities as needed (e.g., police calls, etc.)
• Coordinates and complete shrink related activities in partnership with Store Management

Retail Loss Prevention Detective

Loss Prevention Detective

• Supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management by executing core responsibilities
• Focused on acting as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss/dishonesty and by wearing a body worn camera
• Supports a positive customer shopping experience in the store
• Maintains a strong store partnership with store teams and loss prevention
• Exercises sound judgment in decision-making to ensure their safety and the protection of the Company brand
• Adheres to Company policies and maintains and supports Company culture and values
• Maintains a proper and professional stance in the designated area at the front of the store
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss/dishonesty
• Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide
• Wear a complete Company approved uniform including a Body Worn Camera
• Greet customers appropriately, demonstrate courtesy and respect
• Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department
• Respond to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to store management or customer service via a Company issued radio
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or critical incidents to LP or store management
• Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management
• Adhere to all Company Policy and Procedure Document required incidents in AIIM Case Management

Loss Prevention Internal Investigator

Engineering Manager

• Designs, develops and implements strategic logistics solutions to optimize the HomeGoods/HomeSense Distribution Centers.
• Manages a team of Industrial Engineering Managers that identify, develop and implement process improvements, engineered methods, best practices, analysis of labor/space/equipment capacities and measured labor standards to increase DC productivity and reduce cost.
• Ensures data integrity for incentives and accurate DC labor performance reports through labor management systems administration.
• Develops, implements and evaluates business and engineering solutions to modify or improve existing production and processing methods.
• Manages labor, material, and process costing to support best practice recommendations and capital ROI justifications.
• Oversees the development of training materials to explain and maximize detailed methods and engineered solutions.
• Analyzes existing and anticipated logistical business constraints to develop an optimal HomeGoods/HomeSense supply chain network.
• Collaborates with Transportation, Engineering and Distribution Center Management and travels to sites to identify, analyze and evaluate DC process design.
• Develops and executes interim plans and methods to achieve optimal network design and evaluates effectiveness.
