Manager

• Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with health and fire safety regulations
• Manage day-to-day building operations, including both soft and hard services
• Act as the primary contact for occupiers, delivering responsive and high-quality service
• Support customer fit-outs in line with The Crown Estate’s Lease Transaction Approval (LTA) process
• Collaborate with estate service partners and suppliers to ensure service delivery aligns with lease obligations and budgets
• Prepare and monitor service charge and operational expenditure budgets, including variance reporting and reconciliations
• Lead emergency response procedures and out-of-hours cover, prioritising safety and continuity
• Maintain and oversee mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring contracts meet operational and maintenance standards
• Coordinate major works with surveyors, architects, and consultants, including lifecycle and development projects
• Manage contractor activities, issue permits to work, and review risk assessments and method statements
• Maintain site logbooks and ensure compliance through regular inspections and defect resolution
• Develop occupier handbooks and manage vacant properties in line with insurance guidelines
• Support insurance claims and coordinate related site works
• Contribute to The Crown Estate’s commitment to a net zero carbon estate by 2030

Facilities Manager

• Lead strategic engagement and policy development across The Crown Estate’s portfolios
• Shape strategy, build influence, and deliver national-level impact on sustainability, regeneration, marine and science & innovation agendas
• Develop unified sustainability narrative and support net zero and social impact goals (Sustainability Manager role)
• Oversee engagement strategies for a £1.5 billion science and innovation portfolio and build partnerships across government, industry and research (Science & Innovation role)

External Affairs and Policy Manager

• Lead development and implementation of strategic initiatives across the Marine SBU, aligned with enterprise strategy and Marine Delivery Routemap
• Provide high-quality strategic advice, briefing, and thought partnership to the Marine Managing Director
• Liaise with the EA to the MD to provide information and prepare for key engagements, board updates, and cross-sector forums
• Translate complex policy, regulatory, and market signals into actionable strategic insights and delivery plans
• Act as strategic integrator across Planning & Technical, Evidence & Analysis, and Commercial teams to ensure coherent delivery

• Deliver internal audit assignments across The Crown Estate (TCE)
• Deliver risk management activities to support business ownership of risk
• Work across the business to deliver internal audit assignments and risk management activities
• Work with teams to identify, score and manage risk and drive clear accountabilities
• Deliver risk workshops, risk and governance deep dive reviews in areas of heightened or emerging risk
• Support delivery of control testing for risk or internal audit (effectiveness, efficiency including cost of control)
• Attend and contribute to meetings with key stakeholders across the business and ensure audit and risk are appropriately escalated
• Support the business and learning areas such as Marine, Urban and Rural risk landscapes
• Evaluate issues and determine when and how to escalate within the business
• Contribute to corporate governance reporting of Principle Risks and Material Controls
