Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and deliver high-quality, inclusive community engagement across The Crown Estate’s Urban portfolio
Ensure community insight informs project design, planning and delivery
Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with local communities, stakeholders and partners
Monitor community sentiment and stakeholder dynamics, providing clear advice on engagement approaches and potential risks
Identify, manage and mitigate reputational risks related to community and stakeholder issues
Champion innovative, inclusive approaches to community engagement across the portfolio
Develop and deliver initiatives that create social, environmental and economic value alongside development objectives
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with broader strategies
Provide structured reporting on engagement activity, key insights, risks and outcomes
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insight and best practice across the wider portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrable experience leading community engagement within complex development or built environment projects
Strong understanding of inclusive, two-way engagement approaches that encourage broad participation
Ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with diverse communities and stakeholders
Experience managing stakeholder dynamics and reputational risk
Ability to work with autonomy and apply sound judgement in complex or sensitive situations
Strong communication and influencing skills across a range of audiences
Experience collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
