• Reporting to the Senior Director, Field Development, provide national leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for endurance programs.
• Drive program growth, revenue performance, participant experience, and cross-functional alignment.
• Establish standards and best practices for program expansion and collaborate with internal teams.
• Support and develop remote field staff, ensuring programs are mission-aligned and financially strong.

National Director – Endurance Events

Manager

• Manage daily logistics related to AAC device preparation, shipping, returns, and related accessories (e.g., mounts)
• Maintain and update inventory across physical and virtual platforms; coordinate with volunteers and vendors to ensure accurate tracking and availability
• Perform device clearing, servicing, and basic troubleshooting both in-person and remotely
• Build and sustain partnerships with external AAC providers to facilitate referrals and service coordination
• Assist with the intake and assessment of donated equipment; oversee device retirement and reallocation processes
• Provide education to stakeholders and make appropriate referrals within the AAC program
• Oversee centralized device reallocation and deployment processes
• Provide remote AAC support in areas with limited on-the-ground resources
• Assist with tracking program metrics, data collection, and reporting to support continuous improvement

Manager, AAC Program

Director

• Co-lead the strategic vision for the Walk to Defeat ALS, aligning goals across departments and stakeholders.
• Translate program vision into actionable business, operational, and technology decisions in partnership with senior leadership.
• Stay current on emerging trends and technologies to inform strategy and foster growth.
• Develop and manage national product roadmaps, timelines, and budgets to support scalable execution and training.
• Support development teams during unstaffed transitions, ensuring Walk programs remain financially on track and aligned with strategic goals.
• Partner with Marketing & Communications to align national messaging and promotional tools.
• Ensure integration of peer-to-peer fundraising with other development, marketing, mission, and care initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members and field staff through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Define and track key performance metrics to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

National Director – Walk to Defeat ALS

• Reporting to the Sr. Director, responsible for securing and growing major gifts
• Build philanthropic partnerships with individuals and foundations to secure gifts at the $5,000 level and above
• Carry an active portfolio of 125-150 supporters
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward supporters to growing revenue and build a pipeline of major donors for sustainable revenue
• Work as a partner to field-based Development staff who also carry a portfolio of $5,000+ donors
• Assist field partners with strategy development, cultivation, and stewardship planning and execution
• Maintain contact records in Salesforce and update benchmarking reports
• Collaborate with Sr Director on fundraising strategies and goals
• Meet and exceed Major Gift revenue goals (approximately $1 million annually) by closing strategic gifts from supporters

Associate Director, Major Gifts

Community Manager

• Assist with the development of key educational programs for both internal and external audiences to address The ALS Association three prong approach to support of those living with ALS through care, research, and advocacy. In collaboration with Care Services staff, implement key educational programs for external lay audiences. Collaborate with Care Services staff across the country to identify subject matter experts in the fields related to ALS care. Implement alternative education solutions to allow for the delivery of programs through in-person, virtual, and hybrid platforms. Ensure Care Services staff understand and effectively communicate educational materials which allow for consistency and across The Association network. Offer recommendations concerning current or future programs, including identifying processes, deadlines and milestones. Network and build professional relationships with members in the community to further advance The ALS Association’s mission.
