• Serve as the primary recruiter for open positions, managing the full-cycle recruitment process from requisition approval through accepted offer.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, establish hiring timelines, and deliver an exceptional hiring experience.
• Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
• Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, hiring team feedback, and selection activities.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, employee referrals, and talent outreach.
• Extend verbal offers and coordinate offer documentation in partnership with HR leadership.
• Administer and manage pre-employment background investigations.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular updates on hiring activity, time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, and recruiting effectiveness.
• Ensure an inclusive, positive, and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Escalate complex recruitment, compensation, or employee relations matters to the Manager, Human Resources, as appropriate.
• Coordinate all onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and welcoming transition for new employees.
• Partner with IT, Payroll, hiring managers, and other departments to ensure equipment, system access, and onboarding requirements are completed before each employee's start date.
• Facilitate New Hire Orientation.
• Complete I-9 verifications, employment documentation, policy acknowledgments, and other required onboarding records.
• Support a positive onboarding experience that promotes engagement and long-term employee success.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Prepare and analyze recruitment metrics, including applicant flow, source effectiveness, time-to-fill, and recruiting trends.
• Generate workforce reports including headcount, turnover, vacancies, hiring activity, retention metrics, and other HR dashboards.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to identify opportunities to improve retention and employee engagement.
• Support employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and separations.
• Assist with compliance reporting and audits, including Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), EEO-1, VETS, California Pay Data Reporting, and other federal, state, and local requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc workforce reports and analytics to support organizational planning and decision-making.
• Build collaborative relationships with hiring managers and serve as a trusted recruitment partner throughout the hiring process.
• Provide exceptional customer service to candidates, employees, and leaders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Partner with the HR team on departmental initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations.

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Payroll

• Performs all payroll functions to ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing, calculation, and payment of the bi-weekly payroll
• Process off-cycle payments according to company policy and federal and state regulations
• Process leave of absences and accurately account for FMLA or STD within UKG
• Researches, analyzes, and resolves payroll related issues, questions, and discrepancies
• Manages inquiries, payroll adjustments, and requests
• Collaborate with multiple departments for problem resolution to payroll issues
• Reviews exception and audit reports in UKG Ready to ensure employees are compensated accurately and according to policy
• Communicate with managers and employees regarding timecard issues
• Reviews benefit elections to ensure employee selections are accurately represented in payroll
• Troubleshoot and research deductions discrepancies where needed
• Maintain an understanding of payroll wage and hour laws, federal and state tax laws, as well as familiarity with all types of pre- and post-tax benefits, 401K/403B, and leave of absence rules and regulations
• Creates and maintains documentation of payroll process and procedures
• Support testing for upgrades and new releases for the payroll system
• Participates in all year-end activities including reconciliations and ensures that year-end tax forms are accurate and issued in a timely manner
• Responsible for the completion of pay period and monthly reporting including entering journal entries in the general ledger
• Must be familiar with electronic timecard systems and processes
• Provides instruction and reports to colleagues and leaders
• Responsible for processing new hires, terminations, and all company deductions in UKG Ready
• Serve as liaison to third party vendors to ensure seamless process delivery of payroll settlement, taxes, and benefits
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to employee and leadership inquiries on payroll issues in a timely manner
• Assists with special projects and other tasks assigned

Payroll Administrator

Business Intelligence Developer

• Reporting to the Director, BI and Data Operations, the Business Intelligence Analyst will contribute to data-driven insights and actionable recommendations that support organizational priorities
• Work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to understand the challenges each team faces and determine how data and process improvements can best address them
• Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards based on business requirements and user needs, gathered directly from stakeholders across the organization
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude to create reports, analyses, data visualizations, and tools that extend beyond traditional Salesforce capabilities
• Identify and resolve data quality issues as they arise, utilizing tools such as Salesforce, Claude, Excel, and Tableau
• Collaborate with our Data Operations team as needed to investigate and address root causes
• Evaluate business processes, gather and document requirements, and work with peers within the Data and Technology team to implement solutions that drive efficiency
• Lead ongoing reviews and improvements of priority business processes across departments, partnering closely with department leads to understand needs and drive alignment
• Serve as both project lead and project team member depending on the initiative, managing projects independently from planning through completion, including regular communication of project status with relevant stakeholders
• Manage competing priorities and resources while monitoring deliverables to ensure timely completion
• Conduct user acceptance testing and incorporate feedback to validate that solutions meet business needs before deployment
• Translate data findings and process knowledge to support the Technology Enablement team in producing formal documentation
• Conduct meetings and presentations to share findings and next steps, and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership
• Coach and guide end users on Salesforce reporting and interpreting data outputs to build data literacy across the organization.

Business Intelligence Analyst

Manager

• Reporting to the Associate Director, Technology Enablement, perform the day-to-day execution of the organization’s digital product and service enablement strategy
• Ensure staff have the knowledge, resources, and support needed to effectively adopt and utilize enterprise systems
• Contribute to training delivery, enablement content, and user support operations
• Manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of enablement-related initiatives
• Translate system and process changes into clear, user-centered experiences that drive adoption and reduce friction
• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of training sessions and learning experiences across systems and tools
• Partner with subject-matter experts to translate technical and process changes into clear, user-ready materials
• Define and track training success metrics (adoption, engagement, proficiency) and continuously refine approaches based on insights
• Establish and enforce standards for documentation, training materials, and user-facing content to ensure consistency and quality
• Oversee the lifecycle of SOPs, guides, and enablement assets, ensuring content remains accurate, accessible, and streamlined
• Coordinate updates across platforms (e.g., knowledge bases, intranet, tools like Spekit) to create a seamless user experience
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for system rollouts, process changes, and training initiatives
• Track progress, manage risks, and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
• Capture user support trends and analyze request data to identify systemic issues, training gaps, and opportunities for proactive enablement
• Implement scalable solutions (training, documentation, process improvements) to reduce support volume and improve user experience
• Act as a feedback loop between end users and system owners to inform ongoing enhancements
• Support other Data & Technology efforts as needed such as imports, reporting, and other data quality initiatives.

Manager, Technology Enablement

• Support the execution of federal and state advocacy strategies and policy campaigns under the direction of the Director of Advocacy Engagement and Mobilization.
• Draft advocacy materials including action alerts, fact sheets, blog posts, talking points, and social media content to advance the Association’s legislative and regulatory priorities.
• Coordinate day-to-day advocacy communications, including updating the Advocacy Action Center and monitoring engagement metrics.
• Drive the creation and execution of compelling public affairs messaging and materials that elevate and reinforce the Association’s government affairs objectives.
• Assist in managing logistics for advocacy events, including briefings, webinars, and Hill or state-level meetings.
• Track and analyze policy developments, hearings, and legislation relevant to ALS and related health policy issues.
• Support grassroots engagement, including recruitment, training, and mobilization of advocates.
• Assist with the development of advocacy reports, presentations, and dashboards to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
• Provide administrative and project management support to the Advocacy & Public Policy team.
• Represent The ALS Association at meetings, coalition convenings, and advocacy events as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required to support the team’s mission and objectives.

Manager, Advocacy Engagement and Mobilization

Events

• Reporting to the Senior Director, Field Development, this pivotal role is responsible for enterprise-wide vision, strategic direction, growth plan and market coaching of gala, golf, CEO Soak and leadership events across the country.
• Ensure team goal achievement through the effective leadership, engagement, empowerment and mobilization of diverse partners, constituents, and volunteers.
• Play a critical role in supporting field teams through organizational change, particularly in unstaffed markets, by guiding development operations and ensuring effective local implementation of national strategies to sustain the long-term success of the Distinguished Events program.
• Responsible for leading the comprehensive strategic plan for the organization's distinguished events, aligning them with the overall mission and goals.
• Accountable for the achievement of a revenue target of approximately $4 million annually across all distinguished events, including but not limited to: golf, gala, CEO Soak and other leadership events.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in event management and incorporate them into strategic planning.
• In partnership with territory leadership, monitor expenses, track financial performance, and provide regular reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Create event-specific objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks and metrics to measure the success of each event.
• Guide and partner with Regional Vice Presidents and Managing Directors of Development to coach and hold accountable their teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional attendee experience.
• Coordinate with internal teams to establish event timelines, budgets, and logistical requirements.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop effective, streamlined marketing strategies and promotional campaigns; and leverage digital platforms and technology to expand event reach and engage a broader audience.
• Work with field leadership to provide feedback, training needs, and ongoing coaching to enhance team members' skills.
• Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Develop and manage overall department budget ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient allocation of resources.

National Director – Distinguished Events

Director

• Responsible for securing and growing major and planned gifts in support of the ALS Association’s strategic priorities and mission
• Build philanthropic partnerships with individuals and foundations to secure planned gifts and outright gifts at the $5,000 - $25,000 level
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward supporters to growing revenue
• Work as a partner to other Development staff to secure major and planned gifts from donors in their portfolios
• Collaborate with Sr Director on fundraising strategies and goals
• Maintain an attitude of abundance, persistence, and urgency
• Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of mission related information on research, advocacy, and care services provided by the Association to inspire giving.
