About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary recruiter for open positions, managing the full-cycle recruitment process from requisition approval through accepted offer.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, establish hiring timelines, and deliver an exceptional hiring experience.
  • Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, hiring team feedback, and selection activities.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, employee referrals, and talent outreach.
  • Extend verbal offers and coordinate offer documentation in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Administer and manage pre-employment background investigations.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular updates on hiring activity, time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, and recruiting effectiveness.
  • Ensure an inclusive, positive, and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Escalate complex recruitment, compensation, or employee relations matters to the Manager, Human Resources, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate all onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and welcoming transition for new employees.
  • Partner with IT, Payroll, hiring managers, and other departments to ensure equipment, system access, and onboarding requirements are completed before each employee's start date.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation.
  • Complete I-9 verifications, employment documentation, policy acknowledgments, and other required onboarding records.
  • Support a positive onboarding experience that promotes engagement and long-term employee success.
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze recruitment metrics, including applicant flow, source effectiveness, time-to-fill, and recruiting trends.
  • Generate workforce reports including headcount, turnover, vacancies, hiring activity, retention metrics, and other HR dashboards.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to identify opportunities to improve retention and employee engagement.
  • Support employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and separations.
  • Assist with compliance reporting and audits, including Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), EEO-1, VETS, California Pay Data Reporting, and other federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Prepare ad hoc workforce reports and analytics to support organizational planning and decision-making.
  • Build collaborative relationships with hiring managers and serve as a trusted recruitment partner throughout the hiring process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to candidates, employees, and leaders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Partner with the HR team on departmental initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 1-2 years of full-cycle recruiting and/or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms; experience with JazzHR and UKG Ready is preferred.
  • Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, sourcing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent searches and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Experience supporting HR operations within a multi-state employer and/or nonprofit organization is preferred.
