• Maintain and have a foundational understanding of applicable NERC CIP Standards and support execution of compliance requirements within assigned activities

• Responsible for oversight of EPC contractor engineering design and construction activities for Solar, Wind, and BESS collector high voltage substations and transmission lines (35kV to 500kV)

General

• Responsible for assigned O&M activities associated with the solar PV sites and substations associated with the utility-scale Solar Energy Plants located in Southern California.
• Performs/assists with corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to safely and efficiently perform for equipment including but not limited to installed Inverters, Trackers, Combiner Boxes, PV Modules, DC Collection equipment and systems, AC Collection and Distribution equipment and systems.

Civil Engineer

• Work closely with Civil Engineering team and project stakeholder teams within AES and others to support and manage project timelines
• Assist the Civil Engineering team with the review of Civil and Hydrology and Hydraulic Scope of Work and specifications development
• Review and verify preliminary studies of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and earthworks estimates among others for projects in development through EPC stages of development

Engineer

• Provide critical technical insight for the design, testing, commissioning, and placing in service of HV substation SCADA systems and complex revenue and controls metering schemes for the integration of PV, BESS, and Wind renewable projects.
• Review, comment, and approve SCADA systems designs, communication architectures, input/output schematics, and point assignments in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
• Review, comment, and approve configurations of data concentrators, RTUs, HMIs, switches, and other SCADA-related devices.

• Perform routine QA/QC data quality checks on output meter data to ensure accurate and reliable data to be used on multiple subsequent workstreams, such as generation forecasts and generation actuals.
