Ensure a development team (pod) creates value through delivery of customer-focused product increments
Align with other Product Owners and senior management on product vision and roadmap
Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog and continuously re-prioritize user stories
Manage delivery blockers and oversee multiple team backlogs depending on complexity
Assess customer feedback and review performance analytics to recommend product enhancements
Participate in scrum or Kanban events, promote Agile principles of transparency and collaboration
Provide user story design, development and completion oversight; accept/reject user stories per Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria
Proactively engage business process partners for application changes and Day 2 processes
Responsible for defect management and prioritization
Communicate product changes and backlog priorities to business, technology and senior management
Lead Quarterly Business Review submissions for the product and define OKRs with stakeholders
Monitor regulatory environment and manage risks, quality and business testing in partnership with senior management
Support team development, provide coaching, mentorship and reinforce Agile processes
Requirements
Undergraduate degree and / or product certificate
7+ years relevant experience
3-5 years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset
Substantial knowledge/expertise in product development and Agile/Scrum processes, roles and practices
Experience creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog and managing delivery blockers
Experience aligning product vision with senior management and managing stakeholder inputs
Experience with scrum or Kanban events and defect management/prioritization
Analytical skills to review performance analytics and recommend product experience improvements
