About the role
- The Product Owner I is responsible to ensure that a development team (pod) is creating value for the organization through the delivery of customer-focused product increments. This entails aligning with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, continuously assessing customer feedback.\n
- The Product Owner I should always be considering how to maximize value, assessing how the product or the delivery process can be continuously improved, contributes to a positive work environment and ensures that work embodies the Agile principles of transparency, collaboration and engagement.\n
- Depth & Scope: Key subject matter expert professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas\n
- Accountable for specialized product development support based on sound product expertise and knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes, roles and practices\n
- Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations\n
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services\n
- Leads and integrates cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty, and /or projects with significant resource requirements, risk and / or complexity\n
- Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions\n
- Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions\n
- Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for\n
- Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders\n
- Works autonomously as the lead and guide others within area of expertise\n
- Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree and / or product certificate 7+ years relevant experience 3-5 years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience.\n
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset\n
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset

- 7+ years relevant experience\n
- 3-5 years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience\n
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset\n
