- We are looking for an applications engineer with experience of supporting energy sector or similar application portfolios. Experience of supporting a diverse portfolio of applications, primarily Hydrogrid or similar.
- Location Scotland.
Requirements
- Previous extensive experience as an applications analyst regularly troubleshooting and ensuring smooth running of the system
- Experience of supporting energy sector or similar application portfolios, with a knowledge of SQL and necessary database interfaces
- Experience working and liasing closely with vendors and has the ability to keep them on track
- Analytical skills
- Application interoperability, integrations, data flows, functionality overlap
- Real-time data/Hydrogrid/understanding
- Database knowledge
- Automation/Scripting skills – python (desirable)
- Reporting and presenting skills
- Understating on allocation, system configuration and performance, production/lost production figures
- Familiar with agile and devops
- Fast learner and delivery focused
