About the role

  • Support the Key Account Managers in driving penetration of the Grid Automation portfolio into direct accounts
  • Ensure the development of new opportunities, drive adoption of new products, engage customers proactively to expand adoption of GA portfolio
  • Manage sales opportunities and forecasts through the use of SPEAK
  • Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the orders and sales plans
  • Work with customers to determine their CTQ's (Critical To Quality) metrics and appropriate product/service solutions needs
  • Outline, present and sell the value of our products and services that can benefit customer needs
  • Work directly with Customers to influence specifications and close key deals
  • Provide an essential link from the customer to commercial operations, marketing, engineering and product development teams
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships in support of the account strategy
  • Provide input to the Account Plans, long term and short term actions needed to grow
  • Awareness and able to discuss at a high level value of the GA portfolio
  • Become proficient in new products that build on and expand the core portfolio

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or other technical field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, protection & control, asset management
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales Experience within Utility or Industrial market places
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
