Provides full range of day-to-day HR support for the business unit including staffing, recruiting/onboarding, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, benefits, compensation, and training & development
Represent employee advocacy and strong business partner relations and reinforces and advocates
Partner with supervisors and managers to resolve employee relations issues; counsel employees to improve or correct performance issues; review corrective actions with supervisors
Ensure Employee Relations tracker is maintained and provide updates to Supervisors on cases; lead thorough investigations
Provide appropriate staffing levels and manage all phases of recruitment and hiring for hourly and salaried personnel
Develop and implement effective human resource policies and programs to maximize productivity and achieve site goals
Promote positive relations between the Company and the community and implement effective communication programs
Work cohesively with all functional organizations to deliver expected results and resolve/escalate issues timely
Establish regular training cadence for salaried and hourly employees, perform training, and oversee training program including Train-the-Trainer sessions
Ensure Kahuna is updated to meet requirements of ISO-90001 audit and CT-PAT; ensure employee benefit/payroll/LOA issues are addressed
Prepare reports and metrics for monthly and quarterly review; publish monthly headcount reports to finance and monthly PTO reports to site leadership
Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully and ensure HR Team delivers results to customers efficiently
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years of Human Resource experience
Experience within a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to manage across functions at various levels
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Power Point and Excel to create presentations and spreadsheets
Ability to counsel employees and partner with supervisors to resolve employee relations issues
Experience with staffing, recruiting/onboarding, performance management, benefits, compensation, and training & development
Experience conducting investigations and maintaining employee relations documentation
Ability to prepare HR reports and metrics (turnover, diversity, new hires, transfers)
