About the role
- Design end-to-end experiences for core plugins, tools and external-facing touchpoints of the Developer Portal
- Build and scale the design system (Backstage UI) to ensure consistency across tools
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists in a cross-functional team
- Take ownership of projects with autonomy, making design decisions and solving problems proactively
- Explore how AI can support design workflows and the product
- Partner with senior product designers to develop and improve styles and patterns
Requirements
- 4+ years of product design experience
- Experience launching real products (B2B or B2C)
- Strong UI design skills and understanding of visual design principles
- Experience contributing to or building design systems
- Comfortable prototyping with Figma or AI tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, researchers, and data scientists
- Proactive problem-solving and ownership of projects
- Quick to learn new technical domains
- (Bonus) Experience in branding, motion design, or designing for B2B products/technical platforms
