About the role
- Work under the direction of the Area Sales Director to drive Advanced Bionics sales support across the Western US
- Act as a versatile resource providing surgical, clinical, and consumer-facing support as needed for coverage and business expansion
- Develop and execute strategic business and account plans with Area Directors and Regional Sales Teams to meet or exceed sales quotas
- Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, audiologists, hospitals, and consumers to drive adoption of Advanced Bionics products
- Represent the company at sales meetings, industry conferences, surgical trainings, and community outreach events at national, regional, and territory levels
- Provide surgical support and training including in-field assistance during cochlear implant procedures, temporal bone labs, and operating room on-call support
- Deliver clinical support for device programming, patient fittings, candidacy assessments, troubleshooting, and integrity testing to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate and train healthcare providers and clinical staff on AB implant systems, features, and TeleCare programs
- Apply the consumer sales process and Integrity Selling practices to counsel CI candidates, lead patient-focused events, and strengthen the sales pipeline
- Identify, engage, and educate new lead sources and collaborate with Phonak sales counterparts on joint strategic planning and customer engagement
- Utilize Salesforce.com CRM and other sales planning tools for call preparation, territory reviews, business reporting, and performance tracking
- Respond promptly to customer requests and issues to ensure effective resolution and strong customer satisfaction
- Travel up to 75% to support territory needs
Requirements
- Education: Masters or Au.D. degree in Audiology (or related field) (preferred)
- Nice to Have: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology or ABA Certified
- Minimum of three years clinical audiology experience with both adult and pediatric cochlear implant patients
- Nice to Have: Sales experience
- Ability to provide surgical support and training, including in-field assistance during cochlear implant procedures, temporal bone labs, and operating room on-call support
- Clinical skills: device programming, patient fittings, candidacy assessments, troubleshooting, and integrity testing
- Working knowledge of behavioral and objective procedures used in cochlear implant candidacy assessments
- Foundational knowledge of electrophysiological testing methods (ESRT and NRM)
- Ability to fit and troubleshoot external equipment and resolve software-related issues
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Leadership: lead conversations/projects with stakeholders without formal authority
- Ability to engage clinical professionals, audiologists, and other stakeholders respectfully and confidently
- Travel: ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Languages: English (Fluent); Spanish (Fluent) nice to have
- IT: Microsoft Office; Salesforce (Nice to Have)
- Home/remote connectivity: minimum 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload internet speed required
- Candidate preferred locations: Salt Lake City, UT / Denver, CO or Northern California (near Hub airport)
