HUB’s Customer Service professionals provide critical support to our customers through account management, claims management, day-to-day client oversight, and underwriting services that make us a leading sales and service organization in the insurance industry
The Employee Benefits Account Representative works collaboratively with the Producer and Account Team managing a book of business
Coordinates and provides day-to-day service for employee benefits clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships and understanding client needs
Serves as day to day contact and provides resolution for client questions and issues
This Employee Benefit Account Representative role is focused on the small group market segment
Manages client relationships and executes on all deliverables from strategic planning with stewardship reports, renewal and marketing process, open enrollment and special projects
Manages claims and coverage issue resolution for clients’ employees when elevated from HR or Hub International’s MyBenefitsChampion call center
Provides assistance with clients’ billing and eligibility audits, and on occasion may conduct these audits for clients independently
Advises and guides clients in compliance matters
Develops open enrollment presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint software and conducts benefits webinars and/or records Brainshark presentations for employees and HR Managers
Creates employee benefit booklets in conjunction with the C&D Team using Microsoft Publisher software
Facilitates preparation of open enrollment (OE) packets including SBCs and disclosure notices
Collaborates with Marketing Department on the distribution of MyBenefitsChampion communication materials
Communicates MyBenefitsChampion utilization trends to clients
Manages new carrier, plan or vendor implementation including benefits administration system build-out and project management
Performs contract review and facilitates preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria and POP Plan documents
Prepares master group files, client contact sheet, and maintains carrier files
Manages client RFP process from development, distribution, follow-up, analyzing and presenting with heavy focus on the creating of financial reporting
Supports the Account Executive in strategy and execution
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 2-5 years of related experience working as an Account Representative and/or a Benefits Analyst in the employee benefits arena (equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable)
Must hold a valid CA Life Agent license or will obtain
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; Knowledge of Project Management software and database software is preferred
