QA Automation Engineer

• Work on automation projects as a team member and team leader, interacting with business partners to understand and develop automation requirements
• Design and develop technical automation solutions using engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Develop preliminary engineering designs, device specifications, feasibility studies and project cost estimates
• Determine design criteria in accordance with required standards and codes for assigned projects
• Perform field work and translate completed projects into as-built drawings
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to develop design specifications
• Develop user/operator interfaces, custom reports, analytical tools, process automation, utility control programs and application code
• Develop control applications within Ignition and Factory Talk View and design GUI, HMI graphics, applications and database architecture
• Coordinate with equipment vendors to plan layouts, meet utilities requirements and maintain installation schedules
• Provide startup support and training and assist plant personnel in troubleshooting and downtime situations
• Conduct engineering planning, design and operational studies, audits on project performance and sustainability initiatives, and downtime risk prevention analysis
• Perform engineering assignments across a wide range of projects of varying complexity and may provide training and guidance to others
