About the role

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting
  • Contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
  • Develop MIS reports, analyze trending data, and share meaningful insights with senior management and stakeholders
  • Responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance
  • Resolve data, production, and business modeling issues and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues
  • Lead projects and teams and mentor less experienced staff
  • Partner with cross-enterprise risk analysts to develop common modeling strategies
  • Evolve analytics to include advanced techniques such as graph link analysis and ML models to manage fraud losses

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 3+ years of direct experience in risk management (desired)
  • Expertise in programming and statistical packages: SAS, SQL, VBA, Macros, R, Python, E-miner, Tableau and/or SAS VA
  • Ability to develop MIS reports, analyze trending data, and share meaningful insights with senior management and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytics experience focused on using data to identify areas of opportunity within banking products
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of deposit banking products with ability to recognize vulnerabilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience interfacing with all levels of stakeholders across all three lines of defense
  • Strategic thinker with business and risk acumen
  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships
