About the role
- Develop and implement the feedstock sourcing and trading strategy for DSL-01
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, producers, traders, and brokers across Europe
- Negotiate and secure feedstock supply contracts
- Gather market intelligence on feedstock volumes, pricing, quality, and competitor activity
- Represent SkyNRG at industry events and networking opportunities
- Support feedstock testing and validation ahead of DSL-01 commissioning
- Contribute to the development of trading governance and IT systems
- Provide weekly reporting on market developments, supplier engagement, and trading activity
- Work as part of the DSL-01 operational team, collaborating closely with the Site Director and stakeholders
- Hands-on market engagement: meeting suppliers, gathering intelligence, and negotiating contracts
- Help shape systems and partnerships to ensure long-term feedstock supply security and cost-efficiency
Requirements
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial mindset
- Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
- Awareness of regulatory frameworks and sustainability standards
- Risk management capabilities in trading environments
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe
- Fluent in Dutch or English (both preferred)
- Experience in trading, logistics, or supply chain management (nice-to-have)
- Financial acumen and understanding of pricing structures (nice-to-have)
- Analytical skills to interpret market data and trends (nice-to-have)
- Background in technical marketing, business development, or production (nice-to-have)
- Interest in biofuels, chemicals, vegetable oils, or related commodities (nice-to-have)
- Proactive and hands-on approach
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently and manage external relationships
- Team-oriented mindset, even in a market where traders often operate independently
