About the role
- Lead PEO transition: fully migrate payroll, benefits administration, and compliance from the PEO into our HRIS with a seamless cutover, zero pay errors, and minimal employee disruption
- Run payroll and benefits: own day-to-day administration, audits, and employee support across payroll, benefits, and compliance
- Elevate onboarding: manage and improve onboarding to ensure 100% of new hires are set up for success in their first 30 days
- Build and maintain people policies that are compliant, accessible, and easy to understand
- Drive engagement: support recognition and employee experience programs
- Strengthen infrastructure: maintain accurate systems, reporting, and processes that scale with growth
- Partner across the company: touch every function to shape the employee experience and operational backbone
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or similar roles in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Hands-on with payroll and benefits administration, ideally in Rippling or similar HRIS
- Ability to write clean, compliant policies and communicate them clearly to employees
- Process-oriented, detail-obsessed, and able to create scalable systems
- Service-minded, approachable, and responsive to employee needs
- Adaptable and comfortable solving challenges in a rapidly shifting environment
- (Nice to have) Experience leading a PEO to in-house payroll/benefits transition
- (Nice to have) Exposure to designing onboarding and recognition programs in a scaling company
- (Nice to have) Familiarity with multi-state payroll and compliance requirements
- (Nice to have) Experience with HR analytics or reporting to support decision-making
