Summary
We’re looking for a Risk Analyst to support the strategy, operations, and compliance of our Workers’ Compensation (WC) programs across our PEO offering. This role is critical in managing audits, underwriting, and claims while driving continuous improvement in processes and stakeholder experience.
Responsibilities
Audit Support
Lead and support WC audits across master policy, carve-out, and monopolistic state programs. Responsibilities include payroll reconciliation, classification validation, and coordination with carriers and state agencies to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.
Underwriting Analysis
Analyze prospective and active client data, including payroll, job duties, and claims history to support WC underwriting decisions. Ensure accurate classification and appropriate coverage placement under master, carve-out, and state-specific programs.
Claims Oversight
Act as a point of contact for WC claims inquiries from clients and employees. Provide guidance on claims filing, monitor status updates, and assist in resolving disputes in coordination with carriers and internal stakeholders.
Program & System Management
Set up and maintain WC configurations in PrismHR, including position-level settings and carrier assignments. Correct payroll processing errors related to WC to ensure accurate premium calculation and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with payroll, benefits, and tax teams to ensure accurate data flow and operational alignment across Deel’s PEO platform.
Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate the end-to-end Worker’s Comp administration process. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and compliance using internal platform capabilities and third-party integrations.
Requirements
Strong experience in Workers’ Compensation, including audits, underwriting, and claims review
Familiarity with multi-state and monopolistic state WC programs
Proficiency in payroll and HRIS platforms (e.g., PrismHR)
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong communication skills and experience managing cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
