Lead full-cycle technical recruitment efforts for highly specialized roles including software, robotics, systems, and hardware engineers within autonomous systems and defense domains
Partner closely with hiring managers to understand team needs, job specifications, and long-term talent strategy
Source and engage candidates through networking, LinkedIn, job boards, employee referrals, and specialized talent pools
Screen resumes, conduct technical interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications, technical skills, and cultural fit
Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance, ensuring timely communication, feedback, and positive engagement
Work with leadership to develop and implement recruitment strategies supporting company growth and DEI in hiring
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and technologies within the autonomous systems and defense sectors
Build and nurture relationships with passive and active candidates to create a pipeline for future hiring needs
Track and analyze recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness and continuously improve recruitment processes
Stay compliant with defense industry regulations, including security clearance requirements, and work within these parameters to find the best candidates
Requirements
5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with a focus on engineering and software development roles, preferably in the defense, aerospace, or manufacturing industries
Proven track record of successfully recruiting for highly specialized and hard-to-fill technical roles
Experience running a full desk in high-volume technical recruiting
Strong understanding of technologies related to autonomous systems, robotics, and the defense industry
Familiarity with security clearance processes and experience recruiting for roles that require clearances is a plus
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to drive results
Proficient with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent tools)
Role requires U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or certain protected asylees/refugees)
