About the role
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical resources to uncover technical challenges and goals relating to digital marketing and develop solutions and roadmaps
- Showcase through software demonstrations and rapid prototyping how connected experiences come to life with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Deliver executive-level software demonstrations, construct future-state customer journey strategies and develop long-term IT roadmaps
- Deliver engaging, coherent presentations that connect complex technology to C-level audiences with persuasive storytelling
- Conduct workshops, white-boarding, presentations, demonstration and proof-of-concept builds
- Collaborate closely with sales, professional services, product, and prospective and existing customers
- Stay up-to-date on product development and roadmap, industry trends, and industry news
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in solution engineering, with strong focus on marketing technology and customer engagement solutions
- Alternatively: strong digital marketing domain experience (client or services side) with strong customer facing & presenting skills
- Proven track record of driving ACV growth through Martech solution selling
- Ability to develop and articulate a strategic vision for leveraging Marketing Cloud capabilities
- Thought leadership in marketing technology, particularly Loyalty programs and Personalisation (presentations, white papers, industry events)
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with sales, product management, and customer success
- Previous experience as a Specialist Solution Engineer for a Martech/Adtech company or similar technology
- Strong technical understanding of data-driven solutions and ability to design high-level architecture
- Industry knowledge in B2C industries such as Retail or Financial Services, and understanding of B2B/B2C marketing dynamics
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Creative problem solver, self-starter, capable of leading and prioritizing in dynamic environments
- Team collaboration skills to support Marketing Cloud & wider business to provide world class customer outcomes
