Player/Manager – lead a team of three individuals covering eight Dealer Relations Directors’ territories and serve as Strategic Solutions Manager for own accounts.
Create necessary reports and associated insights; provide weekly status summaries and monthly reviews with key stakeholders.
Ensure Salesforce is updated in a timely manner with accurate and meaningful data.
Coach and instill best practices to Dealer Relations team members on personalizing sales approach and conducting efficient/effective QBRs.
Work with commercial leadership on territory planning and pipeline review.
Generate incremental revenue gains from existing customers through consultative and solution-based sales (upgrades, add-ons, credit reductions, enhanced marketing).
Partner with customers to identify business challenges and strategize to increase retention across the territory.
Work cross-functionally with DRMs, Regional Directors, VPs, and Enterprise Account Team to strategize approaches.
Effectively communicate product value through proposals and presentations with key decision-makers.
Forecast sales plans and drive to exceed individual and team quotas.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or a related field.
5+ years of professional work experience, preferably solution-based sales and inclusive of managing high performing teams.
Experience in managing a high performing team, preferably in a cross-functional organization.
Experience solution-selling with a consultative approach and proven success articulating product value resulting in incremental sales.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding territory retention and revenue quotas.
Auto retail experience strongly preferred or must be passionate about cars if no prior auto retail experience.
Strong project management skills.
Significant working experience with CRM tools and reporting (Salesforce experience implied).
Mastery of aM products, best practices, and presentation.
Ability to forecast sales plans and motivated to exceed individual and team quotas.
Exceptional oral and written skills.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Experience effectively negotiating, upselling and closing business deals without discounts.
Ability to build bridges cross-functionally and over communicate goals and objectives of the team.
Proactive self-starter, creative problem solver, flexible, positive attitude.
Must reside in optimal territory as determined by management.
Must be ready to travel 50% within the region and nationally as needed; must live near a major airport.
Possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
