About the role
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enable on-time, lowest-cost hardware delivery with required performance and reliability
- Provide engineering and manufacturing support across proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support
- Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process and associated documentation/instructions through collaboration with the value stream team
- Implement improvements that reduce cycle time and cost, improve productivity, and maintain safety and product quality
- Work and interact across Operations, Quality, and Test to ensure operators understand requirements and production processes are accurate and executable
- Facilitate Work In Process (WIP) flow by reviewing and dispositioning material, performing engineering inspections, and creating rework/repair routers/instructions
- Update Manufacturing Data Packages (MDP) to incorporate process improvements, design changes, new equipment, and tooling/fixturing changes
- Generate new MDPs for existing production and new programs; participate in Design For Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) tasks
- Enable Continuous Improvement through process changes, tool and fixture development, automation, and other innovation initiatives
- Drive resolution of TDP to MDP errors and discrepancies by submitting engineering Change Requests (CR) and documenting problem resolution and actions
Requirements
- Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools
- Experience/familiarity with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP)
- Experience/familiarity with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES)
- Experience/familiarity with Product Data Management tools and systems (ie Windchill/PDM)
- Familiarity with military and industry standards
- Experience with conducting safety/ergonomic assessments
- Familiarity with standard material handling practices, especially as they pertain to Electrostatic Discharge mitigation requirements
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Word, etc…)
- Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
- Self-motivated and results oriented with ability to work in a team environment and with minimal direct supervision
- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
- Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement
- Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
